Ireland...

Most Celtic Deities were associated with Ireland at one time or another, and Manannan is no exception. Besides the various myths that take place on Ireland, he was also said to have some connection with County Mayo, on the western side of the country. Mannin Lake, which no longer exists, was said to be named after him. A castle next to the lake, Mannin Castle, was reputed to be one of his homes, the remains of which can be seen on the left.
